The first BC Rod and Gun Show / Rod & Gun swap is under our belt and a “Big Thank You” to all of our visitors, exhibitors and vendors for helping us make the show a success!

More than 8,500 visitors attended the show and many of them left with some amazing deals on firearms and fishing gear as well as a host of other items. With new vendors in the Rod and Gun Swap everyday, there was always something new to see and or purchase. Next year we will be offering weekend passes.

There were nine people who had a final cast to win the Willowbrook Chrysler Charity Casting Pond grand prize truck worth $50,000. Unfortunately no one was able to drive it home but one contestant came extremely close by bouncing the lure off the edge of the 8″ ring.

Near the beginning of the casting a shy five-year-old girl won a boat in the casting pond, courtesy of Backwater Boats. Her father Tony (at left in photo) was really happy.

A big thanks goes to all of our non-profit exhibitors like the Canadian Museum of Flight, Semiahmoo Fish and Game Club, National Firearms Assoc., BC Wildlife Federation, the Canadian Military Education Centre, and OWL Rehabilitation Society.

Thank you to everyone who allowed us to make this a safe and secure show by checking all your firearm purchases.

We hope you enjoyed the show as next years show will be even bigger and better.
